Multi-energy resources, such as oil, gas, coal and uranium, mainly distribute in the sedimentary basins. It is in the same basin where deposit minerals accumulated and formed, which will let top scientific research connect with national demand. Due to the limitation of independent exploration and distinct subjects for different mineral deposits, little research has been mentioned in this domain. It is doing the research for the inner relationship, distribution environment and formational mechanisms for multi-mineral deposits coexistence that has great significance to the reasonable exploration and supplement and replacement of multi-energy resources, which will certainly alter the situation for sparsity of resources, balance between supply and need of petroleum.Ordos Basin, where many mineral deposits have been found, is the natural laboratory and ideal region to study the accumulation and formation of multi-energy resources mineral deposits.
The formation, accumulation and distribution for multi-energy resource deposits occurred in the same sedimentary basin, which are controlled by the interaction of interior-exterior dynamics of sedimentary layers during evolutional stages in the basin. However dynamic mechanism of many layers are also dominated by background and evolvement of larger regional geodynamics. The chain of cause and effect for multi-energy resource mineral deposits appear in the following way: regional dynamic evolution environment-interaction of interior-exterior geological dynamics- accumulation of multi-energy mineral deposits. This is just the purpose, technological ideas and key problem of the project. The main objective of this project is that possible breakthrough will be made in the research of coexistence, accumulation, formation and distribution patterns for multi-energy resource mineral deposits. This research will play an important role in the international elementary science and supply theory basis and scientific principle to evaluation prediction and comprehensive exploration for multi-energy resources such as oil and gas etc.
